Summary
Allen and group arrive at the Zoogle Bookshop, where they meet Naaga masquerading as "Lucia" and Hashim masquerading as her Master, who reveal the Zoogles' true nature and connection to the Bookman clan. In exchange for information on the Campbell Residence, they ask Allen for information on the previous Bookman Jr.'s end. They explain to him what their records say about Bookman Jr. and Allen from 35 years ago. Allen reveals that his body and memories may have been tampered with by Apocryphos, but they don't believe him. In order to be able to answer their question, Allen makes up his mind and drinks a poison called the Seed of Truth which will allow him to see the events for himself. The chapter ends with a vision of the previous Bookman Jr.
