Slump (不審, Fushin) is the 27th Night of Katsura Hoshino's D.Gray-man.
Summary
Bookman remarks on the fact that Allens left eye is healing and that he will not need to use his acupunture needles. He introduces himself and another young man in an exorcist uniform as Lavi. Allen goes to visit Lenalee who is also still recovering. Her room is covered in paper work as Komui sits with her. Allen tries to wake Komui who seems comatose and doesn't wake up until Allen whispers than Lenalee is getting married in his ear. Allen asks Komui about what the Noah are and Lavi interjects, having appeared from under a pile of paper work. Lavi explains that the Noah often appear alongside the Earl throughout history. As he is about to talk about the Bookman heritage, he is kicked by Bookman and the two argue with each other. Bookman tells Allen to rest and he and Lavi leave the room.
The two get to know each other, Lavi asking if he can call Allen Beansprout since Kanda does too (Allen also learns Kanda's given name). Allen expresses anger at the fact that the Noah are human and did not become an exorcist to fight humans. He storms off by himself. As Allen walks around the town, he becomes afraid of the people around him because he cannot use his cursed eye to detect Akuma. As he wanders, he becomes increasingly more paranoid and suddenly a baby on a mother's back partially transforms and points a gun to the back of Allen's head. Allen is saved by the timely arrival of Lavi who destroys the Akuma with a large hammer.
