Omen (予覚, Yokaku) is the 5th volume of Katsura Hoshino's D.Gray-man.[1][2]
Summary
"The battle against Arystar Krory and Eliade continues. With Allen's eye once again healed and operational, the truth begins to be revealed. - Komui's Discussion Room, vol. 1–6 *answered by Reever
- Discussion Room Vol. 1
- "Why is Chief Komui called 'chief'?" – Reever explains that the Black order was not very large when it was founded and had fewer sections. "There was just a command center, and the man in charge was called the 'chief.'" (See next entry)
- Discussion Room Vol. 2
- Reever reveals the Black Order's organizational hierarchy. (See image below)
- Discussion Room Vol. 3
- "Why does Komui refer to himself as Science Section Chief?" – Komui used to be in the science section before becoming chief, and decided to adopt the title of "Science Section Chief" due to still doing work for the science section. Reever is the section leader of the science section though.
- "What kind of work do Section Leader Reever and the others usually do?" – Develop weaponry and equipment; analyze data collected by the survey section from all over the world in order to learn everything about Innocence which they are all obsessed with. There are specialists and researchers in various departments (physics, astronomy, biology, archaeology, geology, linguistics, anthropology, psychology, chemistry, mathematics, mineralogy, mechanical engineering, etc). Reever's areas of expertise are in chemistry, math, and linguistics.
- Discussion Room Vol. 4
- Hoshino began to seriously think about becoming a manga artist when she was 21.
- "How did Katsura get to be a manga artist?" – A friend at Hoshino's part-time job suggested trying it, as did Hoshino's twin sister, then one day Hoshino walked into Shueisha.
- Hoshino normally uses a G nib pen and a mapping nib pen when doing more detailed work. Reever jokes about using a mapping nib on his beard.
- "Does the author have a significant other?" – "Koro," says Reever.
- Discussion Room Vol. 5
- "Is there anything that Allen can't eat?" – Reever recalls a time when Allen declined some chocolate cake that Lenalee offered him, and wonders if Allen doesn't like chocolate.
- "Allen, on the 18th Night, thinks that Lenalee is 'cute,' but was he serious?" – Reever was busy at that time, but thinks "since they're about the same age, wouldn't it be natural for him to notice her?"
- "What kind of boys does Lenalee like?" – Reever doesn't know.
- "Does Lenalee wear anything under her skirt (but over her underwear)?" – Reever dodges the question, but suggests asking Jerry. Lenalee likes to talk to Jerry "because he understands how women think" and there aren't many women in the order.
- Discussion Room Vol. 6
- Reever identifies the guy with glasses as Johnny Gill, the big guy as Tap Dop, and the ghost as Sixty-Five.
- The designs for the Earl's top hat in this volume were based on ideas sent by four kids from the prefectures of Hokkaido, Saitama, Akita, and Miyazaki.
